Technical Info

Audience/Seating:

There are 100 mixed chairs available in the Lab Theatre for seating. To comply with fire codes, no more than 100 people may occupy this space. The chairs can be arranged in a variety of ways for different presentations or audience set-ups. There are 6 structural posts throughout the Lab, which may cause blocked views depending on the seating arrangement.

ADA:

The Lab Theatre is not wheel chair accessible. People must take the stairs in order to reach the lab. There is no assisted listening system in the lab.

Dressing Rooms/Green Room:

There are no dressing rooms or green room for the Lab Theatre. The mainstage dressing rooms and green room may be used by prior arrangement with Washington Hall staff.

Stage Information:

There is no set seating configuration in the Lab Theatre. Seating may be arranged as desired for your event. Set pieces are allowed but no part of the room may be painted for any reason. See attached documents for the dimensions of the Lab Theatre.

Rigging and Soft Goods:

There is no fly system in the Lab Theatre. There are 8 black, floor to ceiling curtains on traveler track around the exterior of the room.

Lighting:

There are 24 available circuits on 2 pipes running the length of the room. These pipes are 12’ 10” apart and hung in conjunction with the structural pillars. There are 12 available dimmers and a Leprecon LP-50 lighting board. See the attached inventory for available lighting equipment.

Audio:

There is no sound system in the Lab Theatre.
