Student Players

News

Greetings!

To all those those who will be calling Notre Dame their home for the upcoming year, welcome! A special warm welcome goes out to our freshmen! We at Student Players are excited to have a wonderful theater-filled year. Our entirely student run theater company puts on plays, short musicals, staged readings, and anything else you can think of. But we need YOU! We hope you will support the arts at Notre Dame by getting involved or simply join in the fun by attending a performance.

The Importance of Being Earnest

Student Players is excited to present their first show of the 2011-2012 school year: The Importance of Being Earnest! Oscar Wilde's bitingly hilarious comedy of manners couldn't be contained in a room so we are excited to perform this outdoors! In keeping with this "charming" English society, we encourage you to spread a blanket, bring few picnic treats, and enjoy the show!

Dates: August 26, 27, 28
Time: 4pm
Location: West Quad; North of McGlinn, South of Pangborn, West of Reckers

Rage for the Stage

Do you feel crunched for time but still want to be a part of a show? Do you feel like sleep is for quitters? Then do we have the show for you! Student Players is proud to host its annual Rage for the Stage, a one-of-a-kind 24-hour theater event. Several different teams of writers and actors have 24 hours to create and perform a one act play. Come to Info Night on Tuesday September 6 at 8pm for more information. Then join us on Thursday September 8 at 8pm for the beginning of our theater scramble. Performances begin Friday September 9 at 8pm. We are still looking for writers, actors, and a stage manager so don't hesitate to email us for more information. No experience needed!
