Who are we?

We are members of the larger ND/SMC Right to Life Club who campaign for pro-life representatives, lobby for their pro-life legislation, and support their pro-life judicial nominees.

What do we want?

We want the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade, and to pass legislation that bans abortion in all circumstances except when the life of the mother is in danger. We also work for legislation that bans embryo-killing stem-cell research, assisted suicide, and capital punishment. Ultimately we strive for a legal regime that not only prohibits killing but also respects the inherent and God-given dignity of all human beings.

Why do we care?

A child is aborted – killed – every twenty seconds in the United States. This amounts to 150 children killed every class period, ND Stadium’s capacity killed every 23 days, and 1,300,000 killed every year in the United States alone. About one of every four pregnancies today ends in abortion. Moreover, abortion hurts the living: especially the former mothers, but also everyone else who has lost potential brothers, sisters, cousins, and friends.

Why get political?

Though educating everyone about the holocaust of our time is essential, education alone does not ensure that unborn children will be protected by law. The considerable moral and practical force of the law is the only means we have today of drastically reducing the number of abortions in this country. Though the overturning of the law of the land is difficult, we in the right-to-life movement, the largest social justice movement of our generation, can do it – if only people like you care enough to help. Will you join us?
