Welcome

Patrick HolveyHello! My name is Patrick Holvey, and, by fate or good fortune, you've found my personal webpage!

First, a brief introduction. I am a senior Chemistry major with a strong interest in computational chemistry at the University of Notre Dame. I'm currently involved in undergraduate research through the Department of Chemistry under Dr. Dan Gezelter in Theoretical Chemistry with a strong emphasis on applying computational analysis of physical systems to nanopartical interfaces. Let me tell you, it really is as cool as it sounds. In addition, I've spent time as an intern for the Navy at the Naval Surface Warfare Center/Indian Head Division in Indian Head, MD. The division serves as the "National Center for Energetics" and I had an amazing introductory experience into the world of energetic materials. Both applications of computational chemistry have deepened my educational experience and reaffirmed my decision to pursue a graduate degree, and hopefully apply what I've learned from both my formal education and these unique experiences both in and beyond graduate school.

That's pretty much it for now, so go off and have fun looking at my resume and thinking about offering me an outrageous sum of money to come work for you...just kidding...but seriously. Have fun!

Patrick
