In an effort to continue raising awareness about the continuing efforts and rebuilding in Haiti as well as raise funds for the orphanage Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos in Haiti, Notre Dame will be holding a campus-wide 24-hour Fast for Haiti sponsored by Friends of the Orphans and the CSC. Participants will fast for 24 hours in solidarity with the earthquake victims in Haiti and raise money from friends and family. The fast will be held from April 19th-20th.

*** If you do not feel comfortable abstaining from food for 24 hours, please consider fasting from something else (internet, facebook, cell phone, soda pop, candy etc).

Begins: Tuesday, April 19th at 6:00 PM
Short Prayer Service at 6:00 PM

Ends: Wednesday, April 20th at 6:00 PM
with Mass at 5:00 PM
followed by a Dinner at 6:00 PM

Once you are signed up you will receive an email soon of a sample donation letter and email to send to friends/family/parish/member/potential sponsors and your ND Alumni Club requesting donations for the Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos Orphanage and St. Damien's Hospital in Haiti. You will also receive notification of events that will be held during the 24 hour fast.
