Wish List
Here is a "wish list" I have compiled of topics I secretly wish to discuss or kinds of stories I would love to hear at some point during the life of the show. Note that I also have some sub-topics as well.
Please note that the wish list will evolve and grow with time. If you have anything you'd like to hear about, let me know and I'll add it to the list!
And without further ado, here is the list:
- Culture
- How do technology and culture interrelate?
- What are your thoughts on social interaction in our culture?
- What do you think of today's entertainment?
- What is your personal understanding of our culture?
- Current Affairs
- Thoughts on a particular event in recent history?
- What can the world learn from us? What can we learn from the world around us?
- What do you think the future will hold for the world?
- Philosophy
- What are your thoughts on the current state and use of logic and moral language in our culture? in the world?
- Describe the current state of philosophy in the modern age as you see it.
- What do you see in and out of the classroom with regard to the use and understanding of philosophy?
- Describe your personal study of philosophy.
- Religion and Spirituality
- What is it about your religion or spirituality that draws you in?
- What are your thoughts on how the different religions relate to each other?
- If you could change your religion, what would you change and why?
- Questions Worth Pondering
- What can an understanding of the past do for you? For society or humanity in general?
- What does the future hold for you?
- What do you want to do with your career or your life? Why?
- At Notre Dame (sorry, ND folks only please)
- Hookup culture: thoughts? Does it really exist? How can we deal with it?
- Alcohol and ND: Just how closely are they linked?
- Gender relations at ND: Thoughts on parietals? in general?
- Personal Statements
- Describe a recent event or series of events in your personal life. What did you learn? What can we learn from your experience?
- Tell a story about a person important to you in your life. What have you learned from this person? What can we learn from your story?
If you feel inspired by something you have read on the list, do contact me for an interview! But keep just two things in mind... one, try to keep it positive-- nobody wants to hear a good long rant, especially if you haven't got any idea for a solution to the problem. And two, you have a high degree of freedom for what you want to say and how you want to say it, something you might not find in all means of communication. So if you choose a general topic, make it YOUR topic for that one day. Put your own flair in it. Make it unique and truly your own.
Recent Updates
Here's what's going on with the show and this site:
- 3 April 2009: Wow... I did not get one up on the "this weekend" referred to in my last update schpiel. Nor have I put up an episode at all since the third. I have been so bloody busy... At this point my interview stream has dried up. I hope not permanently.
- 11 March 2009: Finally got the third episode up... for the 10th. Which itself is a week and a half later than it should be. Good grief, I am not a punctual person at all... If I'm lucky, I might get another one up this weekend, but we shall see.
- 4 March 2009: I'm still alive, but I'm kind of recovering from a hard weekend, in which I had to start and finish two large projects. So I couldn't secure a witness, let alone record or post anything online. Worry not, though: I will be having a double-header or two in the near future. Also, I put up a Wish List of topics for testimonies.

Special thanks to OverClocked Remix and its members for not having sued my ass so far when I used some of their music. You should check out the site and listen to the music-- video game music in general is terribly underappreciated, and the fine people at OCR take something they love and put so much effort into this site and the hobby that it supports and create truly brilliant works of art. It is for this reason that I have been using their work on my show I want to show how truly inspiring an underappreciated medium of expression can be, both for myself and for the fine folks who make OCR what it is.
