Beth Tuckey, Assistant Director of Program Development and Policy, Africa Faith and Justice Network (AFJN)
Beth Tuckey is the Associate Director of Program Development and Policy at Africa Faith & Justice Network (AFJN) in Washington, D.C. AFJN is a Catholic-based non-profit organization that educates and advocates for just U.S. relations with the people of Africa. Prior to joining AFJN, Beth worked with the Uganda Conflict Action Network to create the political will in America to end the conflict in northern Uganda. Though she has done considerable research on food security and school feeding programs in Uganda, her current work is focused on the militarization of Africa, specifically through AFRICOM. Beth's expertise on AFRICOM has been cited by the Inter Press News Service, Foreign Policy in Focus, Pambazuka News, and the Oakland Post. She received a B.A. degree in International Studies from Kenyon College in Ohio.
