Take a firm stand on this quotation. Do you agree with it? Or do you disagree with it? Your response should be no more than 3-4 typed, double-spaced pages of careful reasoning. Make sure your reader knows where you stand and can follow your argument throughout the paper. For that matter, make sure you know where you stand. Use evidence. At the same time, be concise and very to the point.

At this point, it should be no problem at all for you to keep counterarguments in mind. Make sure you know exactly what they are.

This assignment is straightforward and challenging. I recommend that you begin it as soon as you can.

As always, I will not expect your paper to be perfect. I will simply be pleased if you write the best paper you have ever written in your life.
