Among others the reaction rates of two key reactions have been determined experimentally which are required for the astrophysical models of stellar evolution and nucleosynthesis. Both reactions
16C(α,γ)16O and 22Ne(α,n)25Mg proceed in the helium burning phase of stars and affect by different means strongly the synthesis of the chemical elements.  Using high beam currents of the Stuttgart Dynamitron and advanced target and detection techniques a sensitivity limit for the cross section in the range of 1--10 picobarn could be achieved.  The uncertainty limits of the new reaction rates could be reduced considerably.

All interested persons are cordially invited to attend.
